Person threatening suicide trapped up cliff. Person located by Police dog handler, whom subsequently became stuck on cliff also. WFA Rescue

 Squad, NZ Police Sar and NZ Fire Service Hi-angle rescue teams from Newtown and Porirua, and Westpac Rescue Helicopter used to

rescue both. Helicopter was unable to winch persons off cliff, but was used to transport rescue crews and equipment to top of cliff.

Rescue crews then abseiled down to free trapped persons. Complete job lasted approximately 7 hours
